• t.Lab's 4th Annual Black Tie Ball
“Moving Forward and Beyond in the 21 st Century” is the theme of the 4th Annual Black Tie Ball. The proceeds of this event will benefit the Technology Laboratory and Professional Development Center (t.Lab) by helping to provide funding for new programs, discounts, scholarships, and new technologies. This event honors a community leader and a high performing T.LAB staff and students for excellence in academics, coaching, mentoring, tutoring and information technologies. This year’s event will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit, Michigan.
• t.Lab Study Skills Class
Explore how T.LAB Study Skills Class can help students use study tips and strategies to manage tougher classes, homework and tests with ease. This course is for 5th Grade and above.
T.LAB Study Skills Class- Session 1- 3 will be held ONLINE (May 22-24, 2017_6:30 to 8:30 PM) Call-in Details will be provided.
To participate in this course, students are REQUIRED to bring the following:
1. Academic Regimen
2. Textbooks for Current Classes
3. Course, Syllabus and Outlines
4. Handouts and class content materials.
• t.Lab Public Speaking Class
t.Lab will be conducting Public Speaking class every Thursdays 5:30-7:30 PM and Saturdays 1:30-3:30 PM. This is open to all t.Lab students 3rd grade and above. Mrs. Arlene Wells will be the instructor.
• Writing Skills Workshop- May 30, 2017
t.Lab will be hosting a writing skills course on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 5:30 PM. The instructor will be Father John Simoneau. Please click on the button below to register.

The t.Lab 5th Annual Bishop B.A. Gibert Oratorical Contest has been postponed.
• Student Academic Performance Evaluation:
We are conducting individual meetings with parents and students - discussing parent and student performance in t.Lab. The outcomes of these meetings include revised learning plans, academic regimen, or recommendations for other academic programs. • Parent University
We are moving the date for Parent University from May 27, 2017 to May 20, 2017 to accommodate and observe the Memorial Day Holiday! The time will remain from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. This will include leadership training for the 6th - 12th grade students - as well!
• Tutoring Schedule
The requirements for tutoring are: 1) Completed Academic Regimen; 2) Weekly Review; 3) Completed Student Management System Profile; 4) Completed Study Skills Training and Study Plan; and 5) Current on services fees.

• Study Circle Teams:
Students are expected to participate in study circle teams. The Study Circle Team concept requires students to assist each-other with studying and learning academic materials including English, Math, Reading, and Science.
